Cognitive Robots for Logistics Solutions demonstrated at the CEMAT fair

Thursday, May 22, 2014

The Jacobs Robotics group very successfully demonstrated intelligent robotics solutions for logistics applications at CEMAT, the leading fair for intralogistics currently taking place in Hanover. The demonstrators are linked to the EU-project RobLog (Cognitive Robot for Automation of Logistic Processes) on developing intelligent robotics solutions for logistics processes by a consortium of five European research teams and two companies. The Jacobs Robotics group contributes to the project with 3D perception and world-modeling in complex scenarios, i.e., the recognition and localization of objects plus the generation of semantic maps that allow for efficiently planned actions of the system.
